Damned if you knew or damned if you did't know,
this is the situation with the question of
prior knowledge of the strong possibility of
the attacks on September 11, 2001. Do you
recall the private plane that almost crashed
intentionally into the White House several
years ago. There are four major governmental
agencies responsible for conducting counter-
terrorism intelligence gathering: National
Security Agency, Central Intelligence Agency,
Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Dept.
of State and all four dropped the ball just
before 9/11. This was my personal opinion
on Sept 11 because of the escalation of the
frequency of attacks on U. S. facilities
overseas and the growing arrogance of the
threats against the U. S., not only from
al Qaeda but also from several other
terrorist organizations, like Hamas, etc.
Like after the smoke cleared from the Pearl
Harbor attack, there are the questions: why
didn't our government know and if they did,
why didn't they do something to stop it.
Those are the only important issues, not
making political hay over a horrific tragedy.
We must not forget that this country still
has service personnel committed to engaging
in combat with a hostile enemy.

I cannot remember a single event that has changed
my life so significantly. I have had to understand
my feelings of outrage and learn to express these
feelings in a constructive manner.I lost a few
friends at the Pentagon and gained new friends from
my "Terror From The Sky" section of my web site
through e-mail message responses wanting background
information on U. S. Special Operations.

The acts of 9/11 of a few suicidal fanatics has
changed the whole world forever. This day will go
down in history as a major crossroads in mankind's
timeline. For some, it will mean a better life for
meeting the challenges and death for others that
refuse to accept the reality that their cause is
not a just cause and that it does not give them
the liberty to deny the liberty of living from
their victims.

It has been thirty days since the attacks on America,
and I believe this nation is on the right course of
action. It has attacked only those persons believed
to be responsible for harboring these terrorists
and has been very careful to avoid massive civilians
casualities. We have provided relief to the displaced
refugees. We have shown the world that we will not
lower ourselves to the level of the terrorist and
we will maintain our moral responsibilities and at
the same time continue with the relentless pursuit
of the criminals that murdered so many people from
many nations.
Oct. 1, 2001
In response to the letters to the editors of several
major American newspapers by persons questioning our
attempting to stop the international terrorist
network:
I say that we are at war with an organized network of
fanatical terrorists, who are attempting the total
destruction of the Western World . They will take no
prisoners, showing no compassion or sensitivity about
our suffering or death. In the wake of the horrific
terrorist attack on the American people that caused the
deaths of thousands, it is difficult for me to understand
the pacifist mentality. While I may disagree or agree with
what is being expressed, I would fight to defend their
rights to do so. I am afraid that we will have to repeat
history again and have persons, that do not have an inkling
of knowledge about the capabilities of our enemies,
expressing concern about the destruction of terrorists.
They would not hesitate to use weapons of mass destruction
on San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, or any other large
American city. Whenever you have "civilized" persons trying
to deal with barbaric savages, you wind up being defeated,
while they try to be reasonable and rational in trying to
solve the problem. We will need our resolve to defeat these
animals and if you attempt to undermine the resolve of the
American people to persist in this war, then you are working
in the interest of the terrorists.

Once we move from the initial shock from a terrorist attack,
the next step is dealing with the anger that is felt toward
the attackers. When we can't act out directly, some people
project their anger to the group that the attackers are
associated with. This is one of the objectives of the
terrorists. If their act can cause paranoia, separation of
of our society, and a continuation of the violence, then
they are successful. Any time, Americans attack other
Americans to retaliate against the terrorists, they are
working for the terrorists. Some hate groups in this
country have their own agenda and will try to ferment
this hatred for their own purposes. The best way to
ventilate your anger, is to exercise your body.
Participate in sports that involve hitting a ball or pins.
Now is the time for all Americans to constantly ask
ourselves "Who gains" from our actions; ourselves or
the terrorists.
Sept 26, 2001
People have asked me "What can I do to protect myself from
a terrorist attack?" Most importantly be informed, be alert
to your surroundings, take a martial arts course, Stay
physically and mentally fit. If you buy a gas mask, I
suggest that you also buy a book on chemical and biological
warfare. I know that it is important to do something, but
do something constructive for yourself and your community.
Sept 22,2001
The objective of a terrorist attack is to disrupt, disunify,
and destroy persons and/or property. The act is planned to
impart the most psychologial damage as possible. How the people
who were targeted react determines whether the terrorist attack
was successful. If we succumb to the fear response and fail to
carry on with our daily lives, then the act was successful.
We must ask about these feelings of dread of harm. Are they
based on a real threat in my current location or are they only
the mind's reaction to a past traumatic experience. If we
continue to go on vacation, or take a business flight, or attend
a stadium event, then we defeat the terrorist's purpose.
Remember that we are all in this together.
Sept 18,2001
On this day, a week ago, a few men took part in a heinous crime
and commited atrocities against this great nation. The important
news of the last week is the great courage on United Flight 93;
the selfless and relentless rescue efforts at Ground Zero; the
giving of blood, services, money, and goods to assist those
Americans in need; the unification of this country for one purpose,
to overcome this event and get on with our lives. The planning
for bringing those responsible for these acts to justice is
being conducted with a cool, calm, professionalism that is a credit
to our political and military leadership. We have shown the
terrorists throughout the world that we are a strong society and
that should strike fear in their hearts.
Sept. 15, 2001
During the last four days I have observed how strong this nation
actually is. The ability to overcome a great tragedy and continue
with daily activities shows how ineffective terrorist acts are
when the attacked nation has the resolve to bounce back from
the most horrendous atrocities and focus on the future. Our
nation's leaders have moved swiftly and decisively to establish
order and assistance to the affected areas. There was no widespread
civil unrest, no hysteria, panic or riots, which was one of the
objectives of these terrorists. I am proud to be an American and
I am prepared for the war on terrorism, no matter the cost,
until justice is done.
Sept. 11. 2001
Most of America woke up on Sept. 11, 2001 to the reality
that our country has joined the long list of countries
throughout the world where major terrorist attacks have
occurred. The images were like scenes from the motion
picture "Independence Day". The events were totally
unbelievable that it could be happening in America.
It was a wake-up call for all Americans even
though we have had many warnings from the major terrorist
organizations around the world. I remember discussing the
possibility of a major terrorist attack several years ago
and the response was that it will never happen here in
the United States. General Norman Schwarzkopf told Tom
Brokaw of NBC News "Terrorism has come to our shores now,
big time."
It is almost impossible to stop trained and fanatical
terrorists that are prepared to give their lives
in order to accomplish their mission. We have seen this
before with the truck bombing of the U. S. Marine
Headquarters in Beriut, Lebanon and the boat bombing of
the U.S.S. Cole in Aden, Yemen, just to name a couple.
America has always been a reactive society. We have had
several major bombings in this country and we have
instituted new anti-terrorist procedures but the biggest
question is why we allow terrorists to have safe haven in
Afganistan and conduct terrorist attacks against our Embassies,
overseas military installations, and even U. S. warships and
are arrogant in their threats against the American people.
Now that they have struck a direct blow against the civilian
population in America, it is time to strike against them,
anywhere they are in the world, with the full might of the
Special Operations Command.
I would like to express my deepest
heart felt condolences to the families
of the victims and gratitude for all the
efforts of the emergency services personnel
involved in the World Trade Center, Pentagon
and Pennsylvania tragedies.
It would be wise to not let these events
disrupt your lives as much as possible because
the objective of terrorist acts is to cause
disruption. disunification, and destruction.
Now is the time for this great nation to come
together and meet this challenge.
